Shipping & Delivery

All orders are processed and dispatched within 1 to 2 business days, Mon-Thurs, after receiving your order confirmation email. They are all processed and shipped out of Auckland. You will receive a notification email once your order has shipped. 

Domestic shipping (exc. Rural Delivery) should be expected in 1 - 3 business days after shipping, and international orders within 3 - 10 days. Note that these delivery times may vary during high volume delivery periods such as Christmas. 

We take all precautions to ensure your Whittaker’s products arrive in good condition at their destination, including adding heat wrap and selecting express tracked shipping (where scanning in destination countries is currently available). However, due to the premium nature of our chocolate, it has a low melting point and we'd advise against sending it to hot climates.

Shipping rates 

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Your final shipping charges are based on the weight of your order and the delivery destination. 

We can send up to 6.2kg per parcel, and include shipping rates up to 16kg per order. Read more about our shipping rates.

During usual business (e.g. outside of the Christmas delivery period) once your order has been shipped, you can expect the following delivery times:

International orders

We want to make sure your chocolate gets to you in perfect condition and in good time. The current restrictions and delays in international shipping mean we are only able to offer international shipping to Australia for now (February 2021). We are monitoring the global shipping environment and will provide updates here as the availability of destinations changes. 

International orders are sent via semi-tracked international air. NZ Post has advised that scanning is currently reduced in many destination countries. 

Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. Whittaker’s is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.

We can only ship up to 2kg internationally. If you wish to send more than this, please contact us and we'll do our best to help out.

Tracking your order

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification which will include a tracking number. You can use this to check its status on the NZ Post, NZ Courier or Courier Post websites (the email with your tracking number in it will contain a link to the correct service) Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.

If you haven’t received your order within 5 business days of the expected delivery time, after you get your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at shop@whittakers.co.nz with your name and order number, or use our contact form, and we will look into it for you.

Shipping to P.O. boxes

Our shipping providers will deliver to PO boxes.

Returns, refunds, and cancellations

We unfortunately cannot accept returns, due to the consumable nature of our delicious products.

If you need to cancel an order, please get in touch as soon as possible – we’ll do our best to catch it in time. If the order has already been processed and shipped, we may be unable to cancel its delivery and organise a refund.
